The teachings of the Buddha ultimately allow us to arrive at a state of no suffering, beyond the attachment and aversion caused by ignorance.

On the relative level Buddhism has helped me to understand something of the true nature of mind, to see things in perspective and to be of greater benefit to myself and others.
