How do you biblically explain to a Jehovahs witness family that you want us to sit together during their service as her parents will not sit with their daughter because she is dating a non witness?

I am afraid that Jehovah's Witnesses interpret The Bible in their own way and would not willingly accept any interpretation that conflicts with their teachings and way of life. This is not to say that the Witness interpretation is less true than other interpretations, but that any biblical explanation must conform with the teachings of the Watch Tower Society. THere is no Witness interpretation of the Bible that could be used effectively in this circumstance.

One of the practices of Jehovah's Witnesses is to refuse unnecessary association with non-members. By refusing to sit with their daughter, the parents are punishing her for her association with a non-Witness and demonstrating to her that, for them, being a Witness is more important than any love they may feel for her.

The good news is that if the daughter is serious about her boyfriend, membership does not always destroy mixed marriages. Mixed marriages in which the Witness is female have a reasonable chance of survival, since the movement teaches that the husband is head of the household and the wife must defer to his authority.

Ultimately, the concern of Witnesses is that by associating with non-members, members can become disaffected and begin to leave the Society. I believe that the best way to encourage the parents to be more accepting is to deal with this issue, and explain that their daughter can still be a good Witness while dating a non-member and even if she marries him.
