How do you bleed air from cooling system pt cruiser?

Not sure the year and engine but for most PT cruisers, they have an air bleed valve next to the radiator cap, looks like a grease fitting of sorts. Loosen this valve, fill with coolant till stream comes out of air bleed valve. Close valve, install radiator cap, start engine and run at 2000 rpm and watch guage, if it comes up to normal and does NOT start to overheat, your good to go, shut off and let engine cool down completely, the overflow bottle will top off small air pockets by design, the system pushes out air when hot and draws in coolant when cooling down. If it starts to overheat or fans start to run and gauge shows nothing, you still have air in system. Repeat procedure AFTER you have let it cool down - squeeze hoses till they are soft and have no pressure, then remove cap slowly. You may have to fill the overflow a few times and cycle cold to hot until all the air is removed, eventually the system will push all the air out by design, hot it pushes coolant out, the air will rise and be the first thing it vents, when it cools down it pulls in coolant from overflow - assuming you have no leaks, it will work out all the air.
