Best Answer

You can opt out of Google's Street View or request to remove and/or further blur images in Street View.

Just follow these steps:

  1. Locate the image in Street View from Google Maps or Google Earth.
  2. Click "Report a problem" in the bottom of the image window.
  3. Complete the form and click "Submit."

If Google blurs the imagery then you cannot request to unblur later so the change is permanent.

Why do Street names in Washington dc have the word unit on the signs?

If i am not mistaken, when the address numbers on a given block of a street are in the units (1-99) then the street sign will say "unit". The next block of that street would be the "100" block and would be indicated on sign, and so on.
