The simple answer is - YOU CAN'T ! You're in school to study your lessons - not spend time on sites like Answers, Bebo, Facebook or whatever ! Your teacher has EVERY right to control what you can and cannot access on the school's computers ! It's theirequipment - If you want to waste time on social network sites - do it in your own time on your own computer !

EVERYTHING you do on a computer generates an audit trail ! An audit trail - is a list of every... program you use, file you open, personal message you send to another computer and web site you visit ! Everything you do - is traceable back to you - even on your own computer ! The staff in charge of your school's network have every right to check what their pupils are doing while logged in.

Far too many kids spend their school computer time on activities other than what they're supposed to be doing ! Still - if you'd rather do that - it's fine... Just remember - when you fail your exams, there will ALWAYS be a job for you at McDonalds - as a toilet cleaner !

When will computer memory chips improve so that the users can surf faster on the net?

Computer memory chips gradually improve, all the time. However, the real bottleneck (limiting factor) for the surfing speed is usually the network bandwidth, not the computer speed. This is also gradually improving, in the sense that technology improves, and also that better offers are being made available to the public.Computer memory chips gradually improve, all the time. However, the real bottleneck (limiting factor) for the surfing speed is usually the network bandwidth, not the computer speed. Are people watching what you do on the internet?

If you are connected to a network and that other person has remote access to your computer, then yes. That's why when you go to some sites a Warning dialog box pops up and says "(something something something) It is possible for others to view what you are doing. Do you wish to continue?" If you get that popup then that should plainly answer the question. But yes, people can monitor your "web surfing."

Does computer surfing help the student in their academic performance?

It depends on the they are surfing for. Surfing for content based subject matter (but I guess that would be considered research) is one thing, surfing indiscriminately is another. I do not see how the latter would benefit academic performance.
