If you are refering to a KT100J, do the following.
1. Narrow the crankcase to eliminate the end float in the crank but not too tight.
2. Bore the cylinder to 50.95 mm
3. Fit a KSI piston of 50.90 mm
4. Fit a KSI ring of 50.95 mm and set the gap at 0.1mm
5. Machine the top of the barrel so the exhaust port opens at 33.5 mm from TDC
6. Shorten the piston so the exhaust port opening to inlet port opening is 37.1 mm
7. Set squish band at 0.6 mm
8. Set compression ratio at 10.0 to 1
You will have a high revving engine. It will produce good power to 12000 RPM so set your gearing to have max RPM at some point on the track.
Piston wall clearance on KT-100, KT 100 Yamaha Kart Race engines should be .025" max. I currently have one running down in the .018" range turning out 14,000 rpm. Hope this helps. And please correct me if im wrong. thx
