I cook them on very low heat, and with no extra fat in the pan, since sausages are already so fatty. In order to stop them from sticking, I keep a spray bottle of water handy and just give them a spritz or two whenever they start to stick.

Another technique that I've heard of but never used is to just let them sit on minimum heat for ten minutes per side without trying to move them. Apparently, once one side is fully browned, it won't stick anymore.

Either way, you need low heat and a lot of patience.

A sausage recipe that's a real wiener!

We boil our thawed bratwurst in water with onion pieces and a few garlic cloves or a tablespoon of minced garlic for 15-20 minutes.

You can also boil brats in beer. Whether you use beer or water be sure that brats are fully covered with liquid.

We sprinkle a little pork seasoning in the water to add a little extra flavor. If we're out of pork seasoning we use garlic and onion powder.

Grilling Made Easy:

We then grill them on medium direct heat to crisp the outsides.

It's important to make sure they're cooked all the way through with no pink inside. But if you boil them first there aren't any worries! They should have a nice brown color and to keep them from burning, we turn them frequently.

If it's too cold outside to grill, you can always finish them off in your oven. Broil them until crisped. Watch them closely as the broiler will burn meat quickly. Or you can bake in oven at approx. 425 degrees until outsides are browned.

You just heat the temperature on the oven, fill a pot of water, put sausages in the pot and wait until the water boils,or until the label says to take them out!

Exactly the same way as pork sausage, grill, fry, roast in the oven or you can BBQ them, enjoy them with mashed potato and veg or stuffed in a bread roll.

How long do you boil chicken sausage for?

Sausage is normally fried, not boiled. But in either case, watch the color to see when it is cooked. If you are in doubt, cut a sausage in half to examine the cross-section. Since there are many different kinds of sausages having different diameters, there is no set time for cooking them, however, it shouldn't take too long; I would expect that 15 minutes is usually enough.
