Very Skillfully
www.gunparts.com has a schematic for the marlin 27s
The model started out as the model 27 in 1909, and with the improved safety as the 27S in about 1911. Yours is likely from 1911-1912 time period.
Numrich Arms has a schematic of it.
It's the same as a Marlin 101. I don't know if that helps but good luck.
There was no Model 1908, so I am assuming you are looking at the 1908 patent date on the barrel. Which is wierd, since the only .25 caliber slide-action rifles produced by Marlin were the Model 27 (.25/20) and 27S (.25 RF) which did not have the 1908 date. Please doublecheck your information.
The marlin model 39A is the rifle model, while the Marlin model 39M is the carbine model.
I am trying to find out the age of a marlin 25 mn, yet i cannot seem to find a breakdown for the serial number. Can you help?
Any where from $150.00 to $1200.00. The blue book is way off on these. If you can buy 80% guns for $350 I will take all of them.

The Marlin Model 60 manual may be dowloaded from Marlin's website.
The Marlin model 925 22 long rifle, was first introduced in 2003. Before that it was Glenfield Marlin model 25 or just Marlin model 25. Hope this helps.
