I build them out of 1/2-inch thick plywood. Basically, cut the pieces to the correct sizes, and fasten together with countersunk screws. I always coat the edges with a little silicon before screwing, to ensure a good seal. I usually make the front out of a narrow strip of ply (top and bottom), and attach tracking for glass. The glass needs to be cut and polished to remove the sharp edges. Install suitable heat and light sources, and you're just about done. Choose suitable substrate for the floor of the vivarium, and provide a big enough hiding place for the snake Remember to include a water-bowl (for drinking and/or bathing). Oh - don't forget a suitable lock for the glass doors - to prevent escape !
Of course you can.
It might not be good to move a snake from a bigger tank to a smaller one. The snake will need room to move as it grows.

Snakes do not pass liquid urine line mammals do, but rather urates which are solid. If it's yellow, then there are urates on the bottom of your snake tank.
