either split into 2 DVDs or go and buy a dual layer DVD, assuming you have a DL burner. Use Nero to burn.
FirstI will compress given video using appropriate software then write it to DVD.
You have two options for this. Note that 7.2 GB is more than the storage capacity for a regular/single-layer blank DVD disc which store a maximum of 4.7GB or data. First options is, burn the 7.2 GB using a dual-layer blank DVD disc, which has 16GB storage capacity. Second is, compress the 7.2 GB using a compression software such as winrar or similar to less than 4.7 GB then you can burn it using a /single-layer blank DVD disc.
perhaps if you can zip it.
The process of making a DVD-ROM is easy! You use a DVD Burning Software programto build a project. You add any files to the project that you would like, up to the 4.7 GB capacity of a recordable DVD. You burn the disc, and you have a DVD-ROM.
Not with a 4.7 GB disk, you'd have to invest in a 8.5GB dual layer disk. I'd look on eBay.
DVD data disks are burned by the Finder. In Finder's menu under FILE you can see the command New Burn Folder. Click that. An empty folder will appear. It will be on the desktop and be named Burn Folder. Dragging files to this folder will NOT put the files in the folder. An Alias of each file is put into the folder. The total space needed is calculated and you will be told how much or how many disks will be used. For example there are DVDs with about 4 GB of space and DVDs with about 8 GB of space. When you have put what you want into the folder, and have a new blank DVD that has the needed capacity, press BURN on the folder. You will then be told to insert a blank Disk. File sizes and disk sizes will be compared and you will either be told that you can burn the disk or that the project will require a number of disks and if yo want to continue. If everything is ready click burn. Depending on how much is being burned, and the speed of the disk, you will have to wait until the burn has completed. You don't have to wait for the verification process if you don't want to. It is possible to create a custom icon for the burned disk, but that is another question.
No. The "formatting" of a CD-R is not the same as the DVD-R. DVD formatting allows up to 4.7 GB whereas a CD limitation is about 700MB. A DVD movie file requires much more storage place than the ordinary audio file.
its like 3 gigabytes to 4 gigs
A DVD-ROM is a general term describing any DVD medium that cannot be written to by end-users.To answer your question in another way: there are a lot of different types of DVD. Types most commonly found are mini-DVD's (1.4 GB), dual-layer mini-DVD's (2.6 GB), DVD-R/+R/-RW/+RW (4.7 GB), DVD-DL/DVD9 (8.5 GB) or DVD-RAM (4.7 or 9.4 GB depending on single or dual layers).
A single DVD is capable of holding 4813 megabytes of data. Blu Ray disks, on the other hand, can hold 25600mb.
a dvd can hold a minimum of 4.7 gb
Use a DVD Burner.. Simple !
