You don't mention what part of SC you're leaving from. If it's the eastern part, you can always take 95 down to Jacksonville and 10 across to Biloxi, although that adds about 150 miles to the trip. If you're centrally located, take 20 as if you're going to Atlanta, take 129 to Macon and 80 to Columbus. Head for Auburn and take I-85 the rest of the way. If you're leaving from western South Carolina, there's nothing that makes a lot of sense. Pick a time when traffic won't be heavy around Atlanta.
