Bypassing the battery temperature sensor on a 1996 Chrysler Breeze is not recommended, as it can lead to safety hazards and damage to the vehicle's electrical system. If you're experiencing issues with the sensor, it's better to diagnose and repair the problem rather than bypassing it. If you still wish to proceed, you would typically disconnect the sensor and connect the wires directly, but this should only be done with a thorough understanding of the potential consequences. Always consult a professional mechanic for safe and effective repairs.
The Battery Temperature sensor is located under the battery attached to the battery tray. Remove the battery and you will see it on the tray. You can then remove it from the top and then unplug it.
its by the under side of the radiator
Underneath the battery.
Under the battery, on the battery tray.
ambient/battery temp sensor hi
A 1996 Plymouth Breeze that starts and runs until it warms up, but then stalls might have a problem with a temperature sensor. The sensor is telling the computer that the temperature is too high for the engine to operate safely. Check the Electronic Temperature Sensor or the Manifold Pressure Sensor (MAP).
P1492 (M) Ambient/Battery Temperature Sensor Volts Too High Battery temperature sensor input above acceptable range.
The temperature sensor provides feedback to the charger to allow the charger to determine when the battery is fully charged. The battery under charge develops internal heat as it approaches full charge. The temperature sensor measures the heat (temperature) and reports it back to the charger to end the charging cycle.
It is on the bottom of the battery tray, under the battery.
Two pins for charging the battery, using the electricity and one acts as a temperature sensor; which indicates battery's temperature.
The multiplug on the air intake hose next to the battery has the temperature sensor i believe.
