Here we go... At school you will probably do 5 subjects (you may do 4 or 6+). If for instance Person A does the following subjects:
Chemistry
Accounting
English
Media
Legal Studies
they will get a 'study score' for those subjects for example:
Chemistry 34
Accounting 32
Biology 41
English 38
Media 31
Legal Studies 41
The four highest study scores, one of which must be an English score (regardless of whether or not an English study score was in the four highest scores) are added together, plus 10% of the next one or two scores (depending on how many subjects were completed). This number is refered to as the 'Aggregate Score'
In this case, the aggregate would be:
Legal Studies 41
+Biology 41
+Chemistry 34
+English 38
+Accounting (3.2)
+Media (3.1)
= 160.3
This is then compared to all the other aggregate scores in the state, and the highest (usually around 200) is given a study score of 99.95, and so on until the lowest score is given a theoretical study score of 0.05 (although this score would be disclosed).
A study score of 160.3 (from memory) would be around about the 80.00 mark.
Study score calculation: The most basic and simple explanation of the study score is that you combine SAC (school assessed coursework) marks with your exam marks (both of which are moderated against each other) and then compare your score to everyone else in the state and the top students are given 50, and so on, with the mean score being 30, and the bottom score theoretically being 0.
That is pretty much as simple as you can explain it without making obvious factual or operational errors in your explanation. There is a little bit more to it than that, and you should hit up the vcaa website to find out more, or Google 'the ABC of scaling' or "VICTER '11" to see it in more detail.
Hope that helped.
53.95 is the average ENTER score for VCE students
1%
You cant get an ENTER score for a subject, it is known as a study score which is out of 50. Pretty sure the average study score for accounting is around 30-32.
You can enter veterinary science with a score as low as around 95. At MU the highest ENTER score to enter was 99.30. Just look at university sites.
IB has a different curriculum to VCE, IB is more known world wide and can get you an easier enter score. Although IB is a bit harder than VCE but in the end, it's all worth it
These scores are not published comparatively. You can obtain the desired scores on the VCE from the particular institution you are interested in directly.
VCE stands for Victorian Certificate of Education.

The highest score you can achieve on the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is a study score of 50 for each subject, with a perfect ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) of 99.95. The ATAR is calculated based on the best four subject scores plus an additional increment for higher-level subjects, making it possible to reach the top rank. However, achieving a 99.95 ATAR requires exceptional performance across all subjects.
