Resonant frequency is the frequency where the voltage across the tuned filter is maximized. Inject a sine wave through a resistor into the filter, and adjust frequency for peak amplitude.

At higher frequencies, such as RF, this becomes interesting because everything disturbs the circuit, including the resistor, because it is no longer a pure resistor. Measurment of resonant frequency in RF circuits is best done in situ.


Resonant frequency is measured like all frequencies in Hertz or cycles per second.
