The speed of the RAM is based on how large the RAM's storage space is. Most modern computers have 2-4 GB of RAM, and the speed is based off of that storage space. The speed of the RAM is the same across all models and sizes of RAM because all types use the same type of memory. The only way speed can be decreased is if the progam(s) you are running exceed the amount of RAM that is in your computer. Putting more GBs of RAM in your computer will not increase the speed in any way, it just allows you to run more programs without decreasing speed.
The compatible RAM speed can go up to 3300MHz. This is with the OC'd RAM.

Depending on what your motherboard can handle, all the RAM (regardless of clockspeed) will clock to the same speed.

Add more, you cannot not speed it up, but you can improve it by adding RAM memory.

RAM speed is how fast your computer goes. The more RAM, the faster your computer.
Your motherboard will only run at the slowest speed of RAM you have installed, so installing faster RAM will have no effect speed-wise.
In certain applications, the overall speed may be dependent on the RAM. If you have a fast CPU but very little RAM then your performance will be slowed.
Actually it is quite the opposite. The more RAM you have the more speed at which data can be transferred to the RAM. An example is if you have 512 Mb of RAM then 512 Mb of data will be transferred to the RAM at a time, but if you upgrade it to 1 GB of RAM then 1 GB of data will be transferred to the RAM at a time verses the 512 Mb. So the speed at which the RAM stores data will increase if the size of the RAM is increased. I hope this answers your question.
