Our clocks are tied to the sun. So if you know how the sun moves, you know how

the clocks behave.

The sun appears to move through 15 degrees of longitude per hour ... 4 minutes

per degree. If two points on Earth are separated by 15 degrees of longitude, then

the sun appears to take an hour to move from one of them to the other. If they're

not exactly 15 degrees apart, than whatever the difference in their longitudes is,

it takes the sun 4 minutes to cover each degree.

Now all you need to know is: Which direction does it move.

-- The sun rises in the East and sets in the West. Right ? Right !

-- So the sun is always moving towards the west.

-- Whatever time it is here, this time came from the east, and it's going to the west

when it leaves here.

-- Whatever time it is here, it's later than that in the east, because this time has

already been there.

-- Whatever time it is here, it's earlier than that in the west, because this time

hasn't gotten there yet.

What time is it in a city located at 45 degrees W longitude when it is 2 AM in a city located at 15 W longitude?

Locations having a higher W longitude are farther west, and therefore "earlier" in standard time. Each 15° of longitude defines 1 hour's time difference, there being 360° of longitude divided by 24 hours. So the time at the location at 45°W will be 2 hours [(45-15)/15] earlier, or midnight.

Difference between vector and scaler quantity?

One difference between scalar processors and vector processors is their startup times, with vector processors needing prolonged startup due to multiple tasks. Another difference is that scalar processors operate on only one point of data at a time.
