First You Need To Find The Amount Paid So Say Its $26.00 and There's A 15% Tip. OK Please Follow Step Belows :-)

1- Replace 15% with 10%+ 5% Percent (easy factors)

=(10%*26.00) + (5%826.00)

2- Find 10% * 26.00

=10%*26.00= $2.60

3-Replace 5% with 1/2*10%

=2.60+ (1/2*10%*$26.oo)

4- Simplify inside parentheses

=2.60=1.30

5- Add

=$3.90 Is Your Tip Then If Needed Subtract Or Add From Bill Payment.

3.90+26.00=....

26.00-3.90=....

It is usually 15%-18%. What I do is take 10% of the check, and then add another half of that 10%.

For example, if the check was $56.30, i would take 10% which is about $5.60. Then I would add another half of $5.60 to $5.60. $2.80+$5.60=$8.40. The tip should be about $8.40 for a $56.30 meal.
