Ignore the zinc content. Just calculate the volume of steel in the given type (e.g schedule 40), size and length of pipe and multiply by the density of that grade of steel.
If it section is a rolled like beam, channel, square, angles&flat. weight=Length x unit weight unit weight of this section is=123kg/m^3 If it is plate or sheet weight=Length x width x thickness x 7.85(sp.gravity of steel)
volume of the billet * density of d material i.e for steel density is aprox 7.8*10^-6 . volume * 7.8*10^-6.
depends on what you are forging (Shape / size) and the forging process (Extrusion / upset / mould / part press / finish press etc).
hello dude...... First find the area as u done length*breadth*height. Then multiply it with density of that sheetmetal. if it is steel (density is 7850 kg/m3). make sure your units of m (those in area). Now u got the weight of that sheet metal Cheers lax pushpak_tech@yahoo.in
En8 is low carbon steel and it can be toughned. En24 is medium carbon steel and it is generally called forged steel.
mechnical properties of hardened steel
800n/mm2
How do you calculate steel weight without using steel table book?
measure it
by the ton
by using calculator
16mm dia weight for running feet
weight of all steel can be calculated by multiplying unit volume with density.

en 24 grade which welding rod use?
please i will said what i do but please make acheck if u have asteel pipe and want to know the weight of it you have to know the following 1- the outer diameter 2- the thickness of the pipe the u do the following ] (outer diam - thickness) * 3.14 * 7.85 * thikness * lenght of pipe (in millemeter) / 1000000 = the weight of the pipe * Note that : all dimension are in millimeter
