If your Hermit Crab has babies then leave them. You would hate it if the mother abandoned the babies and they died. Leave the litter for 2 - 4 months atleast until they get a shell and their skeloton hardens. Look after them propoly.
go to the store right away like to petco or petsmart and tell them
Hermit crabs will look for a new shell when they get too big for the one they are living in. If the crab is in a tank, place some alternative "homes" for him to browse through.
get a bowl of water and put them in there. trust me they wont hatch if there's no water
It may have outgrown its previous shell -- give it a larger one to make a new home!
Hermit crabs do not procreate in captivity. They lay their eggs in the sea.
In captivity, you can't. They need the micro-bacteria of the ocean to grow into babies from the egg stage.
If it is a hermit crab, then it is like any other hermit crab, so just take care of it as you would to a regular hermit crab :)
Hermit crab eggs are fertilized by the ocean and then washed up by the waves.
Land Hermit Crab Babies Are Microscopic And Live In the Ocean. It Is Near Impossible To Raise Baby Hermits In Captivity
Show Love and CARE for your hermit crab.
Hermit crab eggs look similar to some fish eggs. Thousands of eggs are laid along the left side of the female's abdomen. The female will carry them for about a month. The eggs will gradually turn gray. The female will go to the ocean and deposit the eggs into the water.
i cant find a picture of a hermit crab INSIDE a egg but i posted a picture of hermit crab mother with her eggs
yes they lay their eggs in water
Eggs. They aren't mammals.
about 30 to50 eggs
It shouldn't be about to lay eggs. (I am assuming you have hermit crabs in a aquarium.) It has been proven that they need an ocean to lay eggs and therefore cannot lay eggs in captivity. Even in zoos they can't lay eggs.
It's very rare when Hermit Crabs lay eggs in captivity.
yes hermit crabs lay eggs in water and then they will hatch
