How do you catch Nessie on cryptids island?

Nessie is at Loch Ness, naturally, and you will travel in both the rowboat and the submarine to take photos. However, much of your time is spent in the Pub getting information and tickets.

Photographing Nessie

1) Travel to Loch Ness and get the digital camera by helping the man whose truck is stuck under the bridge (click tire, then the valve). Go right to the Pub and play darts to get a rowboat ticket. Take a photo of humps in the water, and eventually return them to the Mews lab. They are just tires, but a shadowy Nessie is also seen.

2) On your return to Loch Ness, complain to the rowboat operator, who leaves. At the Pub, play darts to earn a Submarine ride, and photograph the "Nessie" at the bottom of the Loch. Return to the Pub to find it is a movie prop, but you get a Pennywhistle from the bartender. Take the rowboat out alone and you can use the pennywhistle to lure Nessie for a picture. This closeup photo goes back to Mews and confirms the existence of the Loch Ness monster.

In Detail

1.) Get a camera from the man with his truck stuck under the bridge

2.) Go to the pub and win the game of darts for the rowboat ticket

3.) Go on the rowboat ride and take a picture of 'Nessie'

4.) Take the picture back to Mews

5.) When Mews tells you the picture is fake, go back to the rowboat guy and accuse him (He will run away leaving the boat empty)

6.) Go back to the pub and win the sub ticket from the other darts player

7.) Go on the sub ride and move the sub to the bottom left to find the Nessie prop and take a picture of it.

8.) Take the prop photo back to the guys in the pub.

9.) Win the game of darts (against the first player), and when you don't get your prize, you do get the pennywhistle from the bartender

10.) Go back to the docks and take the rowboat as far left as you can

11.) Blow the whistle and Nessie will come up!

12.) Take a picture and bring it back to Mews to confirm Nessie's existence!
You find Nessie after you get a magical whistle (from a the third game of darts) and go on the boat all the way left, then blow the whistle.

There was a preview on Poptropica that showed Loch Ness, but the island quest is different. You get a closeup photo of Nessie at Loch Ness on the third try, which is on the player's second visit there. Truck tires and a movie prop are caught on the first two photos taken there.

On Cryptids Island, the Loch Ness monster (Nessie) does not appear in the "viewfinder" (binocular telescope) as suggested by the Preview.

You will take three photos at Loch Ness on two separate visits there. On the first visit, you win a rowboat ticket and get a photo of some "humps" in the water. Back at the Mews lab, you find that they are just truck tires, but the real Nessie is a shadow in the background. On your second trip, you win a ticket to go aboard the submarine, but only get a photo of a movie prop. After showing the photo at the pub, you can get a pennywhistle that will lure the creature to the surface. So you get an actual Nessie photo when you take the rowboat out again by yourself.

Use the rowboat and go far left. Then, blow the pennywhistle and the Loch Ness Monster will appear.

It's not the real monster, but a step to finding her. In the Sub, go all the way down and skim along the bottom, moving left. You will see a colorful monster head. Put the searchlight on it and take a picture. Go back to the Pub.

You will find that it is a movie prop. But you can still find the real Nessie. Beat the original dart player again, who is a bad sport. The bartender will give you a pennywhistle. Go on the rowboat again (by yourself) and go left twice, all the way to the secluded cove. Play the whistle and the "real" Loch Ness monster will appear!
