Oh dear, this can be tough :S Ok, first of all,this is what I did when the same thinghappened to me..Take some treats in a bucket with you and shake the bucket near the pony while calling his/her name, they should hear the treats rattling and curiously wander over for some food. Horses and ponies love to eat so Im sure this may work :D If this doesnt work, just stroll up to the pony, but remember not to get angry..the pony will see your aggressive body language and run away. Instead, walk up slowly and calmly, talking to it gently and quietly. Promise it a treat if it comes back. Good luck :)
