Begin by removing the wiring harness from the back of your headlight assembly. Remove the headlight assembly retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new LHD headlights.

The OEM aren't usually adjustable but the aftermarket Depo ones are ---- If you find you need to sell these please contact me as I am after a pair of RHD Headlights in good order --- kevindevlin@bigpond.com
One meening of LHD is Left Hand Drive.
European Passats have a headlight leveling switch located to the left of the steering wheel (on Left Hand Drive cars). It's purpose is to provide the ability to adjust your headlights if you have a heavy load in the back of the car. If you are moving to England you need to replace your LHD headlights with Right Hand Drive headlights. There is also an aiming adjustment on the headlights themselves.
I'm sorry to say that the bumper does have to be loosened in order to remove the headlamps.

HI i have a UK lhd beetle with UK spec lights and have to change them to Euro/Us lhd lights, i have been told that they can be adjusted internaly for left and right hand drive applications so replacements are not needed. i have not had the chance to see if this is the case but with a bit of luck it might be true and i will be taking them out in the next few days to find out.
