1. Open the glove box.
2. Push the side walls of the glove box inward so the rubber stops clear the sides of the dash.
3. Detach the retractable string form the glove box The string will retract but is accessible for reattaching.
4. The glove box will hing open completely providing access to the cabin filter cover.
5. Insert a screwdriver in the two slots at each end of the access door and pull out. The right side is in a tight spot and may require a little effort to release. The right release tab can also be reached from under the dash and can be squeezed together with the fingers to release the door tab.
6. Once the filter door is removed, reach in with your fingers and fold the right side of the paper tab at the top of the filter and work the filter out. The filter needs to be pulled downward on the right side to get past the string retractor.
7. To insert the filter the right side paper tab again needs to be folded down and maneuvered past the tube.
8. Reinstall the glove box by pushing the sides inward so the stops clear, reattach the retractable string, close the door.
Note: Best price for the filter is at NAPA auto parts. The filter is under $10.00 and the NAPA part number is fil 4367.
