This isn't definitive, GM may have come up with a new better idea, but generally there are two ways to change brake lights on any car: from the outside or the inside. From the outside, locate the screws that hold the lens on, remove them, remove the lens cover, change the bulb, and reverse the process.
From the inside, locate the back of the light assembly, twist and pull the socket, change the bulb, and replace the socket.
Look inside first.
