the vehicles fuel tank must be removed. There are two 15mm bolts holding the fuel tank straps to the car. There are three fuel lines attached to the fuel tank sending unit, a feed line, a return line, and a vapor line. There are also two large hoses for the filler neck, the filler itself and the filler vent. It is recommended that you get help to lower the fuel tank down if it is more than a quarter of a tank full. Once down, remove the lock ring holding the sending unit in the tank. From this point, the fuel pump is visible. Installation is reverse of removal.
Correction: It is a 1995 Chevy Corsica. Not a 1996.
You must drop the fuel tank in order to replace the fuel pump.
