you will need to get the car up on jackstands, high enough that you can drop the fuel tank down low enough so you have enough clearance to get the pump assembly out.
disconnect the battery negative cable for safety reasons.
Remove the filler pipe bolt attachment and disconnect the filler pipe hose connections to the fuel tank.
Disconnect the vapor tube fitting at the left front of the fuel tank.
Disconnect the EVAP canister tube and hose
Partially lower the fuel tank and disconnect the fuel line
you will need fuel line Spring Lock Coupler Tool (3/8 inch)
310-D004 (D87L-9280-A) or equivalent
Spring Lock Coupler Tool (1/2 inch)
310-D005 (D87L-9280-B) or equivalent
Pull the fuel delivery module assembly flange up and out of the fuel tank until the locking tabs on the module are accessible. Reach through the opening and squeeze the locking tabs together and remove the module from the fuel tank by lifting up and out.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Align the fuel delivery module with the fuel tank retainer.
Install the fuel delivery module by pushing down on the module until the module tabs click and engage the retainer
: Align the fuel outlet tube to point toward the front of the vehicle.Install the fuel delivery module assembly flange on the fuel tank.
Install the fuel tank
that's all there is to replacing your fuel pump, just be carefull if the tank has more than a quarter full of gas, it can get messy...and
