The fuel pump on a 2002 Subaru Legacy is located inside the gas tank.
It is inside the fuel tank.
In the fuel tank go through the trunk

The fuel pump relay on a 1992 Subaru Legacy is just above the internal fuse box. The fuse box is located on the drivers side, under the dash.
The fuel pump is in the gas tank.If you remove the floor carpet in the truck you will see a cover that can be removed to get to the fuel pump

The 2006 Subaru Legacy came equipped in naturally aspirated and a turbocharged 2.5L H4 engines. The Legacy does not have a standard in-line fuel filter. The fuel pump assembly however has an integrated strainer, which is not serviceable unless the unit is fails.
