There are two straps that hold the tank in. First, unplug the wire running for the fuel level gauge. Remove the two bolts....one on each strap to lower the tank. Remove the two fuel lines. It's out. Make sure the tank is as empty as you can get it. It's a lot easier to deal with without the extra weight.

Gas Tank
fuel pump is in gas tank you might have to drop your exhaust and or center support for drive shaft. to remove gas tank.
In the fuel tank, mounted from the top.

Back by the gas tank, just jack the car up and follow the fuel line from the tank and you will find it.
pull the gas tank down to change it as it's in the gas tank.
Generally never; the tank must be dropped.
For the fuel gauge? In the gas tank on the fuel pump.
