you have to remove the engine
(some people will drop it some people will lift it, it depends on the tools you have)
then separate the engine and the transmission; replace the clutch(try to get a clutch kit so you can replaced the pressure plate as well) replace/machine flywheel as needed. then put back together, and place the drive train back into the car.
The last year the mx-3 was mad was 1996.
the clutch is hydraulic, that means no adjustments
Take it to a repair shop.
Keep It Simple Stupid. Take it to a mechanic and replace clutch cause any clutch problem means you need to replace it!
if manual clutch, if auto it can be the transmission. same for any other car, my mx3's clutch gave out, all that happened is i rolled, turned off the car, pumped the clutch pedal for 10 mins, and off we went. but if motor is not still running, it can be a number of things
1. Clutch fluid is brake fluid. 2. The fluid used for your clutch master/slave cylinders is pulled from your brake fluid reservoir.
it uses the "extra" fluid from the brake reservoir, so just check that you are ok on brake fluid and your clutch should be fine
The last year Mazda made the MX3 was in 1996....... so a 2006 would be really expensive! ;) I guess you are asking about a different car
To change the clutch on a 1996 Holden Rodeo, first, securely lift the vehicle and remove the transmission by disconnecting the driveshaft, exhaust, and any electrical connections. Next, unbolt the clutch cover and remove the old clutch disc and pressure plate. Install the new clutch disc and pressure plate, ensuring proper alignment, then reassemble the transmission and reconnect all components. Finally, check the clutch operation before lowering the vehicle.
waste of time
No the clutch is hydraulic.
The clutch reservoir on a 1996 Geo Tracker is located in the engine compartment, near the firewall. It stores clutch fluid which is pulled into the system as needed.
