This truck uses three different engines, all with slightly different starter mounting. All starter replacements are pretty similar though.
Most importantly you must first disconnect the negative battery cable.
Raise and support the vehicle.
From under the vehicle remove the large and small power wires to the starter.
Remove the starter mounting bolts
Remove the starter.
Reverse procedure for installation.
Disconnect the negative on the battery. Then jack the truck up & unbolt positive & negative wires to starter. Then unbolt starter from truck. Not hard to do at all
Remove and replace the starter.
Disconnect the - battery cable Raise and support vehicle Disconnect the wiring at top of starter Remove mounting bolts Remove starter
First You Have To Check The S Terminal On The Starter Or Solenoid To See If Is 12 Volts When You Turn The Switch Into A Runn Position If You Have 12 Volts Then You need To Replace The Starter Motor You Need To Go Under The Truck You Well See The Starter Right Ther Is Realy Symple To Replace Two Or Three Bolts & Two Cables All Depends If Is A V6 Or V8
Test your battery. If that checks out, take off the starter, take it to Auto Zone, and they will bench test it for free.
Too broad of a question to answer without knowing the make of your truck, and the motor which is in it.
