Pretty standard. Put car in park (or in gear if manual transmission) and apply emergency brake. Make sure you're on A) level ground, and B) stable ground (not soft dirt!). If the jack shifts, your truck falls! Check you have the jack (scissor jack with tire iron etc in rear interior side panel of Pathfinder). Unzip the spare tire cover on rear of vehicle, make sure it has enough air in it. While truck is still on the ground, LOOSEN the lugnuts with the tire iron (just loosen--do not come close to removing them yet!). This is the hard part, so you don't want the car jacked up at this point while you're pulling on the tire iron! To be supersafe, put some kind of block on the opposite wheel so it doesn't roll. If you're changing FRONT LEFT wheel, use something to block the RIGHT REAR wheel. Again, this is just the supersafe way to do it. Now get the scissor jack ready. There are 4 jack points under your car (usually right by the wheel, closer to the middle of the car, they are NOT toward the front or back!). Raise it up by turning the scissor jack. When the tire is all the way off the ground, remove the lugnuts the rest of the way. Place them someplace safe. Remove the flat tire. Now place the spare on the lugbolts (use your foot to help align it). Hand tighten the lugnuts back on as best you can. Now lower the jack. When the truck's back on the ground, TIGHTEN the lugs hard with the tire iron. Now take your flat tire in and get it patched or replaced. Don't drive without a spare!

Yes they can. Watch tire size
To get the spare tire off a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder you should insert the long rod into the hole in the trunk. Push the long rod down and turn it. Once it catches you can lower the tire down. The rod and tools that you need are under the back seat of your vehicle.
You can put almost any type of tire on a Nissan. But to answer your question it depends on what type of pathfinder and what kind of roads you'll be driving on.
Go over a really, REALLY big bump.
Go buy another one.
When you fill the tire that is showing low air pressure, after a few miles the sensor will reset itself.
