This should only be done by a skilled professional as the water pump is driven by the cam belt. The cam belt must be removed in order to remove the water pump. Remove the cam belt and reinstall it incorrectly and when you start the engine you have internal engine damage. The water pump should always be replaced when the cam belt is replaced.
