The built in garage door buttons run off of the cars battery.
how to program remote garage door opener clicker clkid
Open the garage door. Press the 'learn' button on the opener (for less than 10 seconds). Enter 1-6 digits on the keypad, then press enter (light on opener should blink). Test it and all remotes to ensure they didn't get erased from memory. Done.
If your garage door opener control keypad is hardwired and/or old you will need a flathead or phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the casing in place. You can then change the code and then replace the cover. If it is wireless you should not need any tools.

how do you change battery in houdini wine opener #2926....where do i get the answer
You can find garage door openers at relatively inexpensive prices from a lot of retailers. However, I sourced a low cost garage door opener (priced at $39.99) from Walmart that operates with a four digit pin number which should prevent the door accidentally dropping down. It is the 'Chamberlain Clicker Universal Wireless Keypad Garage Door Opener'.
