You have to remove the two visible screws then bend back the side carpet in the boot to gain access to a plastic type wing nut,once this has been removed just pull on complete rear light whilst gently wiggling and it should come out!!

Open the hatch. Remove the two screws that are securing light. Peel back the carpet from the side of the boot area where it meets the side plastic trim. Remove the plastic wing nut from the rear of the light. Remove the light and unclip the harness plug to allow for complete removal of light from the vehicle. Replace bulbs as required.

Step 1: Remove the two screws on the rear of the car that secure the light housing (as per the manual) Step 2: Ignore everything else the manual says. Pull out the light housing and you will see a plug connecting the electrics to the housing. Lift the retaining clip on this and remove the plug. The entire housing should now be disconnected from the car. Step 3: On the rear of the housing is some white plastic, this holds all the bulbs. Remove the plastic by lifting the two retaining clips. The Bulb holder will now lift clear of the housing completely. The brake light is the top bulb. Hope this helps :-)
