They're very easily gotten to from inside the trunk. You just twist the back of the light assembly until it releases, twist the bulb out, put the new one in and put back into place.
Check the bulbs, the fuse then the brake light switch.
what number fuse for the break lights
Start with the light sensor on the brake pedal arm.
Check the sensor on the brake pedal arm. Brake lights and tail lights use different elements in the bulb also some cars have separate bulb for each. Check the bulbs.
If all the fuses are good, then most likely the brake light switch right on the brake pedal inside the car. Check that.
check the sensor on the brake pedal.
It's on the arm of the brake pedal.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but if all ( 3 ) brake lights don't work ( assuming you have a 3rd higher mount brake light and all the bulbs and fuses are fine ) then it would be a problem with your brake light switch ( and also I BELIEVE if all the outside brake lights stay on )
i am not sure you mean brake lights or tail lights. If brake lights don't work. You have to check out a brake light switch,(it conects to your brake pedal) make sure both wires are conected to the switch. And if tail lights don't work, you have to replace a head light switch.(where you turn your head light on and off)
To adjust headlights on a 1997 Crown Victoria, you would first need to remove the glass coverings. Next, check to see if the lights appear off or on a tilt or slant. If they do, simply place them accordingly or as desired. You will hear slight snaps, which are an indication that the lights are properly balanced and connected the circuitry board and base. Once competed, reinsert the glass coverings and you are set to drive.
