The brakes on a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer are changed by jacking the vehicle up, supporting it on jack stands, and removing the wheels. The calipers can then be unbolted, old pads removed, and new pads installed.
The bearings are encased in the hub assemblies that are held on by 3 bolts. But remember you must remove brakes, and the axle shaft nut first, and drive the axle back while removing the hub assembly. DO NOT HIT the end of the axle with a hammer !, as you will damage it and this gets real expensive fast. I is also best to disconnect the lower ball joint which will allow the axle spine to retreat easier without stressing other parts. You must also be careful as you are dealing with the ABS wheel speed sensors at this time. Get a book with detailed instructions or find someone that can print off the instructions in something like ALLDATA. As for the rear bearings...NOT For the novice..... Take it to your local Midas shop and have them do it.....This involved removal of the rear axles, which means getting into the rear differential section.. Best Idea ...let them do any of them....your safer that way.
Front brakes are both disc. First remove the front tires, each caliper is held on by an allan wrench of 16mm. Loosen both of these bolts, remove caliper. There is a brake line attached, so just place the whole unit on the A frame. Remove old pads, they pop out with a light tap. You will need a large C clap to push the caliper piston back in. This is easily done if you leave one pad in place and use the pushing end of the clamp on the pad and the C hook on the back of the caliper. In stall new pads in caliper and slid the unit over the
rotor. If the rotor is damaged it should be cut or replaced. It is best to put the lower part of the caliper in place as it is a snug fit and may require a tap or two to get it in place. Re tighten the blots on the caliper and re install tires. REMEMBER TO PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL BEFORE DRIVING AS IT WILL GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. ONE OR TWO PUMPS AND IT SHOULD BE NORMAL.

Hi, I just had a left front wheel bearing replaced on my '02 Silhouette. Symptoms that the part needed to be replaced include: --Whirring noise coming from faulty bearing while driving --Noise increases when turning steering wheel to opposite side of bad bearing (e.g., moving wheel to right with a bad left bearing) --No noise while vehicle is stopped Parts could cost up to $250 depending where it's purchased and who manufactured it. Labor is about 2 hours since wheel and disk brakes have to be removed and re-installed. Hope this helps
My 02 Trailblazer has 184,000 mile on the original motor. Does not leak or burn oil.
Probably a weak battery.
Sounds like exhaust leak.
The 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer air pump can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The air pump will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
