both are under forward exhaust manifold.
It will be on the front of the engine, normally just above the crankshaft pully
its behind the camshaft pully you have to remove the timing belt then the camshft pully to get to the thermostat and its housing bit of a nasty job really!!
The Camshaft and crankshaft sensors sit behind the main pully, you really need a mechanic to change this because if you don't torque it right they will shift and you will have to replace them again. The parts are only about $40 a piece but the labor will run you about 2-$300.
top pully, nearest to the front of the vehicle.
My guess would be the camshaft sensor, or idler pully, or water pump, or your compressor
On the front of the engine slightly above or behind the top of the crankshaft pully. It has an electical conmector with two wire leads connected
It changes the direction of an applied force.
there is a little dash mark on the camshaft and then on the crank shaft there is a key that holds the balancer pully on strait and you turn the engine over with your hands on the balancer pully until it points strait up and then pull it off and then turn the camshaft (dont be scared it will pop into place) until the dash lines up with the key on the crankshaft then put everything back together and start.
The water pump is located under the timing belt/ front pully cover you need to remove the front engine mount, all belts, crankshaft pully, then remove the cover ( its in two parts) and the camshaft /timing belt as it drives the water pump. Good time to also replace the belt. best to remove the front wheel to get at the crankshaft pully
With a self adjusting tensioner pulley, there is no adjustment for tension.
if the engine is an izuzu then the crankshaft pully must be aligned to tdc mark the injection pump and camshaft must be locked by screwing a bolt through a hole in the pully and into the backplate a 10/11mm and a 13mm bolt will be required. the crank pully may have to be fitted to find the tdc mark. I have watched this being done. I would answer the question "With Difficulty, even if you know what you are doing!"
