I recommend every 1500 miles or seasonal. Mobile 1 75/90w synthethic gear oil is considered an excellent choice by some and widely available.
There is no oil in the crank case,,you use mixed gas and oil that's what lubes the crank bearings and piston rings.
Sounds like you need a bearing in your chain case, or chain tension is off, or you need a new gear, or more gear case oil.
A 1994 Sea-Doo is a 2-stroke engine.. it has no Crank case oil.. Just oil in the Fuel.. either via Oil tank or Pre-Mix.. the oil that is in the fuel lubricates the entire engine.
There is a rubber plug on the chain case you will have to pull off. Then a small screw at the bottom of the case you unscrew. Fill the chain case through the rubber plug till oil comes out of the screw hole at the bottom
Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the chain case with a torx bit. While it is draining, remove the torx bits from the access panel. After the oil has drained completely, reinstall the drain plug. Fill the chain case using a funnel with a quart of oil. Replace the gasket and reinstall the access panel.
You can use gear oil. Transmission oil can be to thin, and leak out of the gaskets, Ive had this happen a coupple times. I use Amsoil synthetic chain case oil.
2,6liter
First remove the drain plug from the chain case. While it is draining, remove the torx bits from the access panel. Once the oil has drained completely, reinstall the drain plug. Fill the chain case using a funnel with one quart of oil. Reinstall the access cover while using a new gasket.
