replacing dash board lights
Start with the headlamp switch.
Which light?, there are a lot of different lights.
Well its possible the lights are blew or the wires aren't hooked up right.
Should be the same fuse for parking/tailights
When the dash lights dim on the Nissan Pulsar SS 99 with the use of the turn signal, it is usually an indication of a bulb burned out in the turn signals. It can also mean that the flasher is bad and taking too much juice.
If one takes a look at a diagram for mini lights under dash of 99 s 10 blazer, one will see a power distributor cell and a battery stud. There are also an underhood bussed electrical center and ground relay.
Its under the dash, pass, side. And a bugger to change.
I have a 99 blazer with the same problem. If i move the light dimmer dial from side to side it will stop. You can change the switch or from time to time wiggle the switch.
It happened to my Buick after I put in Stereo. The insulation was off one of the stereo wires causing a short which killed my dash lights. The stereo worked. My dash lights didn't.Check your radio wires and make sure its not grounding out.
Check Under the hood. there also is a secondary inside of the car check the side of the dash when you open your drivers side door. that is where it is located on my 99.
On a vehicle that age I would suspect: (1) fuse (2) bulbs (3) the wiring leading to the bulbs (4) the sockets are corroded and need cleaning or replacement.
