The side mirror on my 2004 alero was knocked off. Its the passenger side mirror. How do you remove the mirror because the power cord attached to the mirror is still attached.
remove drivers inside door panel and there are 2 or 3 bolts that hold mirror on from the inside after you diconnect the wire harness if it is a power mirror
you probaly can't do it yourself so take it to a shop that can and if they have something to replace it with.
Need to check if it getting power, if it is... the mirror needs replacing.
On a 1998 Ford Explorer : ( # 1 ) is a 7.5 amp fuse for the power mirror switch , power antenna ( In the fuse panel in the drivers end of the dash , the fuse panel cover is visible with the drivers door open )
The passenger side mirror is manual. Move it by pushing on the mirror itself. Most cars are like this, I know it kinda stinks, but thank goodness we have a knob on the drivers side.
GEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very carefully... (Elmer Fudd)
Usually, to replace any power mirror, you must first remove the inside door panel. From there you should have access to the rear of the mirror. There has to be some screws (usually 3 screws) holding the mirror in place. Also follow the wires from the mirror to where it is connected and disconnect.
This mirror is the driver's side mirror, power and heated. I need to know how to access the mounting bolts or studs to replace the mirror. Please give detailed insturctions with pics if possible. Thank you
On a 1996 Ford Ranger ( fuse # 1 is a 7.5 amp mini fuse for the power mirror ) The fuse panel is in the drivers end of the dash , the fuse panel cover is visible with the drivers door open
