If you are asking about the 2.0L engine....the ECM was changed to what is called a NGC and the crank and tone wheel(pickup for crank position sensor) was changed. Also, the blocks are not interchangeable due to the position of the crank sensor was changed. It may be possible to change the crank and and sensor then extend the harness to reach the front of the engine where it was move from the rear starting in 2003 but this would be alot of work. Everything else on the engine should changeover fine.
one hour or less remove the starter on the lower front of the motor and the sensor is right above the starter held in with one bolt
The starter will crank the engine over but it won't run.
On the 2002 Vue with the v6 engine, the sensor is on the side of the engine. The sensor is right beside of the oil filter.
where is the crankshaft position sensor located on a 2002 Volvo S60 2.4 engine
There is one on the side of the block, which is above the oil pan below the exhaust manifold, and the other one is behind the harmonic balancer in the front of the engine. Keep in mind that when I say side of block, that this engine is transverse and it is actually in the rear of the engine compartment. The front of the engine is on the right side of the engine compartment.
Where is the crank shaft sensor located on a 2002 grand am 2.2 l ecotech engine
For the 2.2L engine, remove the starter. The sensor is screwed into the engine block behind the starter with a 10mm bolt. The wiring plugs into the front of the sensor facing the radiator.
