For the driver side headlight bulb.
I cheated and used an endoscope on my laptop to see how the clip was secured - a bargain at £20 from eBay.
1. Stand in front of the van facing the headlight so you are going to be looking at everything upside down.
2. Remove the round rubber cover from the outer light compartment.
3. Pull off the 3-pin plug from the back of the bulb
4. Looking down at the bulb base from above you can see the two ends of the wire spring clip holding the bulb in place. This is the hinge end, the wire clip is fastened at the other end.
5. Imagine the two wire ends you can see are the two legs on the base of a letter A. The clip holding it in place is at the top of the right hand leg from your viewpoint and so the wire spring must be released to your left.
6. Push the Right Hand Leg of the A in towards the bulb to clear the clip and then slide the wire to your Left to release it.
7. Remove the old bulb, put in a new one, flip the wire Aback up into place and press firmly under the clip to secure.

The headlamp bulbs on a 1996 Acura TL are installed from the engine bay. Find the housing located in the front of the vehicle. Disconnect the bulbs and replace them with new units.
If you can't access the bulbs take the light assy off and turn the bulbs counterclockwise to remove them
On a 2004 envoy, open the hood and on the top of the headlight assy there are two tabs that you pull up allowing you to pull the headlamp assy forward and access the the bulbs. These are halogen bulbs so remember to wear gloves when handling the bulbs.
