lift & support car by frame
take off tires
undo top bolts in engine compartment(on strut towers)
undo 2 bolts holding bottom of strut to spindle
take out strut
put strut in spring compressor & compress spring till loose on upper mount & lower seat
undo top center nut
drop out old strut & remove rubber bumper & strut boot
Reverse to install.
**if lower bolt holes are eccentic/slotted you will need to align when done**

I had the same problem with my 92 voyager when I bought it. For me it turned out to be the upper spring plates on the front struts. Had them replaced and it's been quiet ever since. NOTE: You might have to do an alignment if this is you situation as well.
