It was really easy actually. It is located on the back, left side of the engine. It is a small metal cylinder connected by two, clamped tubes. It is pretty much a chop and swap. I suggest removing the fuse for the fuel pump and then start the engine in order to depressurize the line. Even though I did this, there still will be some gas that will escape from the filter and the line so be very careful! But it is very easy to do though.

No it doesn't. They didn't start in-cabin filters for the Altima's until 2000.
