the fuel filter is located inside the frame rail on the driverside, forward of the fuel tank. you need the proper line wrenches. take off the gas cap to alleviate some fo the line pressure. undo the nuts on either side of the filter and remove it. make sure to orient the new filter correctly. there should be a flow direction arrow on it. install it backwards and you wont get any flow. one word of advice wear safety glasses and place a rag over the wrench as you are cracking the filter loose. sometimes if there is still pressure in the line gas will spray out and you don't want that getting in your eyes. Also read you can remove fuse or relay to fuel pump, run vehicle til gas runs out, this helps alleviate pressure in system. Be sure to replace fuel pump fuse before trying to restart vehicle.
