You'll have to drop the fuel tank and on the top you'll see where the pump is. Pull the pump and the filter is on it. If there is another filter somewhere else besides the one on top of the fuel tank (some vehicles do have more than one) then just trace the fuel line back and the other one will be about 3 foot down the line on the frame.

The fuel filter for a 2000 - 2007 Monte Carlo is just in front of the rear driver side tire
and the fuel pump can be accessed through a panel in the trunk just behind the rear seats
