First dissconect the battery.The easiest way is to remove the six bed bolts and the four screws retaining the filler kneck color to the body . Raise the bed on the tank side and support with a jack stand. Dissconect the two harness plugs and three fuel lines by squeezing the clips together. Then remove the tank strap bolts. Then remove the three bolts that secure the center tank support. These bolts have nuts welded to the frame and are easily removed . Lower tank and remove the pump module retaining ring . Removed pump . Insatll new "o" ring and insert the new pump (float first) into the tank . Reverse directions to re-install. You may not have to loosen the bed , however it is a simple step that will make fuel line and harness removal easier.
