You will need a 10mm metric socket, Latex or similar gloves (un-powdered), and a replacement H7 Halogen bulb. You might want to consider doing both bulbs simultaneously. In my case I changed the one bulb that burnt out only to have the other bulb burn out about a week or so later.
NOTE: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU MUST NOT MAKE SKIN CONTACT WITH THE BULB. TOUCHING THE BULB WILL RUIN IT!! THE GLOVES NEED TO BE CLEAN, DRY, AND UN-POWDERED.
1. Open the hood. You will notice three bolts holding the head light assembly on either the passenger or driver side. On the passenger side there one bolt on the top and 2 bolts on the right side. On the driver side there one bolt on the top and 2 bolts on the left side..
2. Use a 10 MM socket to remove the 3 bolts that hold the light assembly.
3. Wiggle the whole assembly forward and it will come free. It might be a little tight but it will come out without too much difficulty.
4. Disconnect the main wire in the rear of the assembly.
5. There is a round access cover that needs to be removed. With the access cover removed you should now see the bulb with a socket plugged into it.
6. Unplug the socket from the bulb.
7. There is a wire clip holing the bulb in place. Un-clip it and remove the old bulb.
8. Put on whatever clean, dry, un-powdered gloves that you have and remove the new bulb from the package. Place the new bulb in the hole vacated by the old bulb. It can only go one way. Make sure it is placed flat in the hole. Rotate the clip back over the new bulb and get the clip to secure the bulb.
9. Reconnect the plug onto the new bulb.
10. Replace the round access cover.
11. Reconnect the main wire in the rear of the assembly.
12. Turn on headlights to make sure they work. These instructions assume that the broken headlight(s) now work.
13. Push the whole light assembly back into place. There is a rear post that fits into a hole with a plastic grommet that might take a couple of tries to get it to go in.
14. Make sure you get the assembly back in with the weatherstripping fitted properly around the assembly.
15. Screw the 3 bolts back into their respective holes. Make them tight but don't over tighten.
16. Make sure that you don't leave any tools, screws, etc. in the engine compartment. Close the hood. You're done!
