To change out the HEADLIGHT ENCLOSURE (the plastic lens & reflector unit that the headlight bulb installs into from the back): (This sounds like a long process but it only takes about 5-10 minutes. REQUIRES A TORX driver.) (To change JUST THE BULB go all the way to the bottom.) * Open the hood and remove the two Phillips head screws securing the chrome & black trim piece directly above the headlight. Then pull the side of the trim piece forward (off of the plastic peg along the side of the car facing forward), and then pull the piece sideways out of the tab in the grille. * Next remove the single countersunk screw on the SIDE of the parking light assembly. This will be facing outward on the side of the car along the black strip in between the amber colored side marker (below) and the clear side lens (above). * Next remove the TORX-head screw in the grille that is JUST INBOARD of the parking light assembly. (There are 4 total screws holding in the grille - you need to only remove the LOWER screw on the side of the car of the headlight you're replacing.) * Next remove the long "post-like" screw that sticks up just under the very front corner of the hood. It takes a TORX driver and unscrews upward, then pulls out about 4-5 inches. Set this aside. * Next carefully slide the entire parking light / side-light assembly out sideways (toward the side of the car). Leave the wiring attached and just let it gently hang below the headlight. * Next locate the three plastic retainers that hold the headlight assembly into the alignment fixture. These are black plastic and can be seen looking toward the front of the headlight straight back. There is ONE ON TOP and TWO BELOW the headlight. Use a pair of pliers or needle-nose pliers (much preferred) to ROTATE THESE PLASTIC TABS 90 DEGREES CLOCKWISE so the BUMPS ARE UP AND DOWN vertically instead of side-to-side on each of these tabs. Then pull the headlight assembly forward; it will snap free. * Finally disconnect the headlight wiring connector on the back (if not already done). * Reinstall in reverse order but rotate the headlight retaining tabs 90 DEGREES CLOCKWISE again after snapping the new headlight assembly onto the posts/tabs. * Reinstall all other parts in reverse order. TO CHANGE JUST THE BULB: Open the hood, locate the back of the headlight assy. Remove the electrical connector (lift the clip and pull backward on the plug). Unscrew the bulb retaining collar with your hand (turns only part of a turn), then remove the collar and set aside. Grasp the bulb connector and pull out backwards. Reverse all steps to install the new bulb.
