Also when draining engine coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted to ethylene glycol antifreeze and could drink ant that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. How do you remove heater hoses on 2001 silverado?

To remove the heater hoses on a 2001 Silverado, start by ensuring the engine is cool and then locate the heater hoses connected to the firewall and engine. Use pliers to loosen any clamps securing the hoses, then carefully twist and pull the hoses off their fittings to avoid damaging them. If the hoses are stuck, you may need to cut them off, but be cautious not to damage the fittings. Finally, clean the fittings of any debris before installing new hoses.

How do you change heater core on 2001 ZX2?

If you have not done this before, it is a very time consuming job. Replacing the heater core is not the problem. Getting to it is. Unless you are willing to start removing panels and know how to remove them without damaging the plastic panels and clips, I suggest you take it to a professional. It is just a matter of removing enough to actually get to the core. Once you get to the heater core, first drain the radiator enough to get the level below the heater hoses. Remove the heater hoses, and then remove and replace the core.
